TAKE A PEEK AT THE WEEK !!

March 9th

REMINDERS: 

  • Please send your student along with their Who Was? props and costumes on Monday. We will be videotaping all week long!
  • Fr. Craig will be visiting our classroom on Tuesday at 1:00.
  • Weather Bar Graph projects due Wednesday.
  • April 16th from 9:30-10:30 is the dance performance for our 3rd graders!
  • April 23rd is our field trip to Royals Stadium.
  • April 30th is our field trip to the symphony with Mrs. Heatherington.

HERE’S WHAT WE ARE WORKING ON THIS WEEK!

 

ELA (English Language Arts)

  • Reading - Boom Town Genre: Historical Fiction

    • Comprehension Skills - Fact and Opinion

  • Grammar - Present Tense vs. Past Tense Verbs

  • Writing - Literal vs. Figurative Language

  • Read Aloud - Tale of Despereaux

  • Spelling - WE WILL NOT HAVE A SPELLING TEST THIS WEEK!! However, we will be logging into Spelling City to do some spelling practice.

    • There are 4 spelling assignments in Spelling City, including the pretest. We will take the final test on our iPads on Friday.

  • **All students should have a book considered “just right” for their reading level at all times.

  • Who Was/Is? Projects have begun

Math - Mrs. Schafer’s Math Class

Please remind your student to practice multiplication facts each night for 15 minutes. There are so many ways to practice!! (Khan Academy login information went home last week.)

Students should be tracking the weather this week in their packet for their bar graph assignment. It is due next Wednesday the 11th.
